Internal Controls Summer Student
The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:
· Attend walkthrough meetings with control owners and external auditors
· Update control documentation (including flowcharts) for all key processes
· Assist in the testing of key controls and processes
The successful candidate needs to have experience in the following areas in order to be qualified for this role:
· Must be currently enrolled in university or college
· Preference will be given to students who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies with a major in finance or accounting
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Visio) is considered an asset
The successful candidate will need the following skills in order to perform the duties of the position effectively:
· Effective communication and presentation skills
· Strong work ethic and ability to take pride and ownership of work
