The 2013 capital program has been increased to $740 million from the original 2013 budget of $650 million.
The Company is currently operating 10-11 drilling rigs and the increased capital program will allow the Company to continue to employ 10-11 drilling rigs post spring break-up and for the balance of 2013.
In conjunction with the capital program increase, the Company has entered into a bought-deal financing with a syndicate of underwriters led by Peters & Co. Limited and including Scotia Capital Inc., FirstEnergy Capital Corp., CIBC World Markets Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., TD Securities Inc., Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc., and RBC Capital Markets. Tourmaline will use the proceeds of the Flow-Through Share financing to incur eligible Canadian Exploration Expenses on the exploration of its properties prior to December 31, 2014. In this press release, production and reserves information may be presented on a “barrel of oil equivalent” or “BOE” basis. BOEs may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A BOE conversion ratio of 6 Mcf:1 bbl is based on an energy equivalency conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the wellhead. In addition, as the value ratio between natural gas and crude oil based on the current prices of natural gas and crude oil is significantly different from the energy equivalency of 6:1, utilizing a conversion on a 6:1 basis may be misleading as an indication of value.
