Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

  • Report to the Lead – Pipeline Integrity
  • Support and communicate with Operations and collaborate with all Tourmaline teams as required
  • Support the Tourmaline Pipeline Integrity Program and related integrity activities
  • Assist with budgeting, invoice approvals/coding, and contractor coordination
  • Maintain accurate pipeline inventory, schematics, connectivity, and risk management software updates
  • Review and support pipeline risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Coordinate and review corrosion monitoring, ROW surveillance, and cathodic protection programs
  • Coordinate In-Line Inspection (ILI) programs including scheduling, execution, reporting, and operational debriefs
  • Identify and support verification digs and integrity-related construction activities
  • Conduct field line reviews with Operations and Exploitation teams
  • Manage pipeline status changes including abandonments, reactivations, reversals, and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure pipeline handover documentation and pre-batching activities are completed
  • Develop and implement RFQs/RFPs as required
  • Coordinate chemical program review meetings
  • Coordinate testing and reporting for pipeline cut-outs and failed component analysis when required
  • Assist with regulatory communication and responses to the AER and OGC
  • Support program development, continuous improvement initiatives, and operations training
  • Report unsafe conditions or integrity concerns to the Lead – Pipeline Integrity and Asset Integrity Team Lead

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate needs to have experience in the following areas in order to be qualified for this role:

  • Technical diploma, certification, or related education in pipeline integrity, engineering technology, corrosion, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in pipeline operations, integrity, or related oil and gas activities
  • Knowledge of pipeline integrity management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Working knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Pipeline integrity, corrosion, or related certifications would be considered an asset
  • Experience with ILI programs, CP monitoring, corrosion monitoring, and ROW surveillance activities

Skills

The successful candidate will need the following skills in order to perform the duties of the position effectively:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and integrity/risk management software systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
