Tourmaline is currently seeking a Facilities Construction Co-Ordinator to support the Facilities Construction team, with a primary focus on the company’s Alberta assets. This full-time role is based in Tourmaline’s Calgary office and involves a wide range of responsibilities from documentation and cost tracking to regulatory coordination and project execution support. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

  • Maintain professional relationships with Tourmaline staff and contractors in alignment with the company’s Code of Conduct, ensuring no conflicts of interest.
  • Stay up to date with industry codes, regulations, and standards through training and self-directed learning.
  • Administer project invoices, including receipt, review, coding, and tracking of office and field expenditures.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory notifications, applications, and related documentation, while developing expertise in regulatory processes and requirements.
  • Coordinate survey and environmental activities in collaboration with the Tourmaline Land Department and external service providers.
  • Maintain project tracking and document control systems, including the setup and ongoing management of project schedules, tracking sheets, and filing of surveys, drawings, licences, land documentation, inventory records, and other project-related information.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure readiness and alignment with Tourmaline’s corporate schedules. Engage regularly with Exploitation, Land, Operations, and other internal groups to support schedule integration and project execution.
  • Assist in the development of project cost estimates and the preparation and submission of Authorizations for Expenditure (AFEs).
  • Provide construction materials support, including material requisitions, procurement coordination, and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings, documenting key decisions, action items, and meeting minutes.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress, risks, schedule impacts, and emerging issues with internal stakeholders and external parties as required.

Support Engineering and Construction Superintendents in the coordination, review, and compilation of key project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance, including:

  • Facility and pipeline licences, permits, and notifications
  • Survey, environmental, and land documentation
  • Issued for Approval (IFA), Issued for Construction (IFC), and as-built drawings
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documentation
  • Final project turnover and construction close-out packages

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate needs to have experience in the following areas in order to be qualified for this role:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Petroleum Administration, Construction, Surface Land Administration, or related field (an asset).
  • Background in surface land, construction, or production departments is preferred.
