Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

  • Report to the Lead-Pipeline Integrity
  • Support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of pipeline assets through integrity management programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate slope stability assessments, geohazard evaluations, and mitigation activities related to erosion, terrain movement, landslides, and washouts
  • Manage depth of cover monitoring programs, inspections, risk assessments, and remediation activities
  • Support geotechnical investigations, contractor coordination, and terrain-related integrity assessments
  • Maintain integrity risk registers, GIS records, monitoring programs, and technical documentation
  • Support integrity management activities for non-core pipeline systems, including inspections, remediation work, and corrective action development
  • Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of leak detection strategies and monitoring programs
  • Coordinate leak detection assessments, technology evaluations, and program performance reviews
  • Analyze integrity and risk data to support risk-based decision making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, performance metrics, and regulatory documentation as required
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Environmental, Regulatory, and third-party consultants on integrity-related activities
  • Support additional integrity initiatives including water crossing management, inline inspection (ILI) coordination, corrosion mitigation, damage prevention, exposure investigations, and emergency response activities
  • Assist with integrity procedure development and regulatory compliance activities
  • Report unsafe conditions or integrity concerns to the Asset Integrity Team Lead

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate needs to have experience in the following areas in order to be qualified for this role:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline considered an asset
  • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience related to pipeline integrity, geotechnical assessment, or pipeline operations• Knowledge of pipeline integrity management systems, geotechnical assessment practices, and industry standards
  • Experience with slope stability, depth of cover, leak detection, geohazard management, or related integrity programs considered an asset
  • Familiarity with pipeline regulations and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with GIS systems, integrity databases, and reporting tools
