Michael Rose

President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Rose has been the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tourmaline since he founded the Company in August 2008. Prior thereto, he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Duvernay Oil Corp. (“Duvernay“), a publicly traded oil and gas company (2004-2008). Mr. Rose has more than 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and held various exploration and production positions including managing exploration and petroleum engineering research for a large E&P company before founding Berkley Petroleum Corp. (“Berkley“) in 1993. After the sale of Berkley in 2001, Mr. Rose founded Duvernay, which was sold in August 2008 for $5.9 billion.

Mr. Rose was educated at Queen’s University, graduating with an honours degree in Geology. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists. Among other awards, Mr. Rose is the recipient of the Stanley Slipper Gold Medal from the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (2009).

Brian Robinson

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Robinson is a director and the Chief Financial Officer of Tourmaline. Prior thereto, Mr. Robinson was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Duvernay and prior to that was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Berkley. Previously, Mr. Robinson held numerous positions in finance and accounting with intermediate and senior oil and gas companies commencing his career with a large public accounting firm. Mr. Robinson has more than 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the disciplines of finance, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, management, treasury, tax, and business development.

Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant.

Scott Kirker

Chief Legal Officer and External Affairs

Mr. Kirker has been the Chief Legal Officer, External Affairs since March 2022. Prior thereto, he was the Secretary and General Counsel of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since 2008.  Prior thereto, he was the Manager, Corporate Affairs at Duvernay Oil Corp., until its acquisition in 2008 for $5.9 billion.  Mr. Kirker has practiced law for more than 30 years in various capacities.

Mr. Kirker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Science in Psychology, both from the University of Calgary, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta.

Earl McKinnon

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. McKinnon has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since December 2023, having served as the Vice President, Operations of Tourmaline since May 2015. Prior thereto, he was Completions Manager at Tourmaline since May 2013.  Prior to joining Tourmaline, Mr. McKinnon held both engineering and operational roles at Shell Canada Ltd.

Mr. McKinnon holds a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Montana Tech at the University of Montana.

Allan Bush

Vice President, Corporate Affairs

Mr. Bush has been the Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since December 2023. Prior thereto, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Tourmaline since 2014 and Vice President, Production of Tourmaline since 2013. Prior to 2013, he served as Completions and Operations Engineering Manager of Tourmaline since 2009.  Mr. Bush served as Completions and Operations Engineering Manager of Duvernay Oil Corp. until its acquisition in 2008.

Mr. Bush holds a Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology, Butte Montana.

Colin Frostad

Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Frostad has served as the Vice President, Exploration of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since November 2019. Prior thereto, he was Exploration Manager of the Company’s NEBC and PRH operating areas, and Senior Geologist at Tourmaline, since February 2009. Prior to joining Tourmaline, Mr. Frostad served as Geologist at Duvernay Oil Corp until its acquisition in 2008.

Mr. Frostad holds a Master of Science (Geology) and Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists.

Sherra Aspin

Vice President, Marketing

Ms. Aspin joined Tourmaline Oil Corp. in 2009 and was appointed Vice President, Marketing in September 2017.  Prior to joining Tourmaline, Ms. Aspin was a member of the Marketing team at Duvernay Oil Corp. from 2004 until its acquisition in 2008.

Ms. Aspin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Sarah Tait

Vice President, Finance

Ms. Tait has been the Vice President, Finance of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since December 2023. Prior thereto, she served as Controller of Tourmaline since September 2015 and was the Manager of Finance prior thereto.  Prior to joining Tourmaline in 2011, Ms. Tait was the Chief Financial Officer of Cinch Energy Corp., a publically traded junior oil and gas company, which was acquired by Tourmaline. Prior to joining Cinch, Ms. Tait was an audit manager at Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants.

Ms. Tait holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant.

Katie Beck

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Ms. Beck has served as General Counsel of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since December 2023. Prior thereto, she served as Corporate Secretary of Tourmaline since March 2021 and Associate General Counsel since 2017.  Prior to joining Tourmaline, Ms. Beck worked in legal and business development roles at a midsteam operator, and prior thereto worked in private practice in Calgary and the UK.

Ms. Beck holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University.

Jamie Heard

Vice President, Capital Markets

Mr. Heard has served as the Vice President, Capital Markets of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since December 2023. Prior thereto, he was Manager, Capital Markets. Prior to joining Tourmaline in 2019, Mr. Heard served as an analyst and investor in Castleton Commodities International, Surveyor Capital, BMO Capital Markets, and Barclays.

Mr. Heard holds a Master of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Economics from Carleton University. He is CFA Charterholder.
