Michael Rose

President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Rose has been the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tourmaline since he founded the Company in August 2008. Prior thereto, he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Duvernay Oil Corp. (“Duvernay“), a publicly traded oil and gas company (2004-2008). Mr. Rose has more than 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and held various exploration and production positions including managing exploration and petroleum engineering research for a large E&P company before founding Berkley Petroleum Corp. (“Berkley“) in 1993. After the sale of Berkley in 2001, Mr. Rose founded Duvernay, which was sold in August 2008 for $5.9 billion.

Mr. Rose was educated at Queen’s University, graduating with an honours degree in Geology. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists. Among other awards, Mr. Rose is the recipient of the Stanley Slipper Gold Medal from the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (2009).

Brian Robinson

Vice President, Finance &
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Robinson is a director and the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Tourmaline. Prior thereto, Mr. Robinson was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Duvernay and prior to that was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Berkley. Previously, Mr. Robinson held numerous positions in finance and accounting with intermediate and senior oil and gas companies commencing his career with a large public accounting firm. Mr. Robinson has more than 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the disciplines of finance, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, management, treasury, tax, and business development.

Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant.

Allan Bush

Vice President, Operations & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Bush is the Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Tourmaline Oil Corp., a position he has held since April 2014.   Prior thereto, he served as Vice President, Production of Tourmaline since March 2013. Prior to March 2013, he served as Completions and Operations Engineering Manager of Tourmaline since 2009.  Mr. Bush served as Completions and Operations Engineering Manager of Duvernay Oil Corp. until its acquisition in 2008.

Mr. Bush holds a Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology, Butte Montana.

Scott Kirker

Secretary & General Counsel

Mr. Kirker has been the Secretary and General Counsel of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since 2008.  Prior thereto, he was the Manager, Corporate Affairs at Duvernay Oil Corp., until its acquisition in 2008 for $5.9 billion.  Mr. Kirker has practised law for more than 30 years in various capacities.

Mr. Kirker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Science in Psychology, both from the University of Calgary, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta.

Ronald Hill

Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Hill has been the Vice President, Exploration of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since November 2009. Prior thereto, he was Senior Geologist of Tourmaline since 2008. Prior thereto, he was Senior Geologist of Duvernay Oil Corp. from 2002 until its acquisition in 2008.

Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Drew Tumbach

Vice President, Land and Contracts

Mr. Tumbach has been the Vice President, Land and Contracts of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since 2008.  Prior thereto, he was the Vice President, Land and Contracts of Duvernay Oil Corp. until its acquisition in 2008 for $5.9 billion.  Prior thereto, he was Vice President, Land and Contracts at Berkley Petroleum Corp. until it was acquired in 2001.

Mr. Tumbach holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Earl McKinnon

Vice President, Drilling and Completions Operations

Mr. McKinnon has served as the Vice President, Drilling and Completions Operations of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since May 2015. Prior thereto, he was Completions Manager at Tourmaline since May 2013.  Prior to joining Tourmaline, Mr. McKinnon held both engineering and operational roles at Shell Canada Ltd.

Mr. McKinnon holds a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Montana Tech at the University of Montana.

Sherra Aspin

Vice President, Marketing

Ms. Aspin joined Tourmaline Oil Corp. in 2009 and was appointed Vice President, Marketing in September 2017.  Prior to joining Tourmaline, Ms. Aspin was a member of the Marketing team at Duvernay Oil Corp. from 2004 until its acquisition in 2008.

Ms. Aspin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Sarah Tait

Controller

Ms. Tait has been the Controller of Tourmaline Oil Corp. since September 2015 and was the Manager of Finance prior thereto.  Prior to joining Tourmaline in 2011, Ms. Tait was the Chief Financial Officer of Cinch Energy Corp., a publically traded junior oil and gas company, which was acquired by Tourmaline. Prior to joining Cinch, Ms. Tait was an audit manager at Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants.

Ms. Tait obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2003 and her Bachelor of Commerce in 2001 from the University of Calgary.
